In February 2024, loan companies granted 1,054 thousand new loans worth 1.538 billion PLN. Compared to February 2023, there were (+252.3%) more of them and they were granted for a higher amount by (+119.4%).

The average value of a new loan granted in February 2024 was 764 PLN, which is 78.5% lower than the average value of a loan granted in February 2023. However, the average value of a new cash loan granted in February 2024 was 2,686 PLN, which is 7.6% higher than the average value of a loan granted in February 2023.

In February 2024, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the dynamics of cash loans increased by 62.4% in terms of numbers and 78.8% in terms of value.

In February, the breakdown of non-bank loan sales was as follows: 57.8% of the loans were purpose loans, 40.7% were cash loans, and 1.5% were credit cards and loan limits. On the value basis, 28.0% were purpose loans, 67.8% were cash loans and 4.2% were credit cards and loan limits.

The different numerical and value structures show the main feature of the Polish non-bank loan market: purpose loans are granted for lower amounts, while cash loans are granted for higher amounts, similarly as is the case with installment credits and cash loans.
