COMPANIESBig Cheese Studio S.A. Unveils Development Plans for 2025

The Łódź-based game studio, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Big Cheese Studio S.A., has announced its development plans for 2025. The company aims to strengthen its position in the global simulation game market. The management’s strategy focuses on intensifying efforts in key project areas, expanding the team, streamlining processes, and delivering an ambitious roadmap for live operations and new game releases.

“We are introducing changes that will allow us to better meet the requirements of our flagship project, industry standards, and player expectations. Our goal is to deliver top-quality productions more efficiently and innovatively, which should positively impact our financial results. Rebooting the IP of Cooking Simulator, strengthening the community, and acquiring new players are our top priorities,” said Łukasz Dębski, CEO of Big Cheese Studio S.A.

According to the published roadmap, the studio plans a series of significant updates and releases, including enhancing Cooking Simulator and rebooting it on current and new platforms. In Q1 2025, the studio’s first publishing project, Chinese Frontiers by Solid Games, will debut on PC, with Big Cheese Studio handling global publishing, community building, and distribution. This game will transport players to medieval China, where they can develop villages, build craft workshops, manage resources, interact with residents, farm, and prepare meals. If the debut is successful, the title will be released on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in the second half of 2025.

In Q2 2025, the BBQ expansion for Cooking Simulator will launch on PC. Big Cheese Studio also plans to re-release Cooking Simulator in the Chinese market, launching it on Tencent WeGame and Steam China. This will be preceded by a targeted marketing campaign and significant product adjustments to cater to local players. The effort will be supported by Silk Road Games, a major shareholder in BCS specializing in Chinese game distribution.

“In the second half of next year, we also plan to release the highly anticipated Cooking Simulator 2. We believe the sequel will elevate cooking to a whole new level with enhanced mechanics, a new game mode including 4-player co-op, new recipes, character progression, and gameplay options for both casual and competitive modes similar to the Overcooked series. A major addition will be the ability to create and use custom recipes, opening the door to a future Cooking Simulator modding platform,” announced Łukasz Dębski. The company also plans to release additional culinary-themed DLC and Cooking VR Pizza, which will immerse players in Italian cuisine through virtual reality.

Big Cheese Studio S.A. is also addressing the needs of mobile and console gamers. In the second half of 2025, a mobile version of Cooking Simulator will be released alongside an optimized version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Organizational and Operational Changes

The new plan also includes organizational changes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Immediate priorities include reorganizing the HR, QA, Game Design, and Game Development departments, implementing modern work tools, and improving processes.

“The planned changes affect not only how we work but also how we manage teams and projects. We want our team members to have a real impact on the success of our company and the games we create. Investing in the team is an investment in Big Cheese Studio’s future,” added Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk, Board Member of Big Cheese Studio S.A.

BCS focuses on optimal project management to meet shareholder expectations regarding dividend payouts. These efforts aim to ensure the company’s financial stability and growth aligned with investor interests.

In the first three quarters of 2024, Big Cheese Studio S.A. achieved a net profit of nearly PLN 5.5 million, representing an increase of over 140% compared to the same period in the previous year, when net profit was PLN 2.24 million. The primary drivers of this success were sales of Cooking Simulator and its expansions.

Strategic moves toward innovation, partnerships, and international market expansion form the foundation of Big Cheese Studio’s new plan to further develop and strengthen its position in the global gaming market.
