Lexus has seen a spectacular increase in sales compared to 2022. In the last 12 months, 73,637 cars from the Japanese brand were delivered to customers, which is 46% more than the previous year. A whopping 87% of Lexus customers chose cars with electrified drive, and in Western Europe (including Poland), this percentage reached almost 100%. In 2023, 64,439 hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and battery electric vehicles were sold (+58% year-on-year growth).

The dynamic increase in Lexus sales in Europe is due to a wide range of electrified models in the D-SUV Premium and E-SUV Premium segments, which include the NX, RX, and RZ. This year, the brand’s position in the premium market will be strengthened by the LM, which combines the comfort of an exclusive sedan with the body of a spacious van, and the groundbreaking urban crossover LBX, which will be available with a new hybrid in front-wheel drive or four-wheel E-FOUR version.

Lexus sales in Europe driven by NX

The NX is the number one choice for Lexus customers in Europe. In 2023, 25,709 units of this model were sold, which is a 47% better result than the previous year. 13,121 cars had a classic hybrid (NX 350h), and 11,629 purchased cars were plug-in hybrids (NX 450h+). The number of cars that can be charged from an outlet increased by 50% year-on-year.

In 2023, Lexus sold 18,747 units of the UX model in Europe. The car was most often chosen with a hybrid drive (17,250 units), and 761 cars were the UX 300e version with an electric drive and a 72.8 kWh battery.

The fifth generation Lexus RX had an excellent market debut. 15,529 units of this SUV were sold (+45%). One third of all sold were the RX 450h+ version with plug-in hybrids (5125 units), and 6744 units were cars with a classic hybrid (RX 350h) or a new, powerful hybrid with turbocharged engine and 4×4 DIRECT4 drive (RX 500h).

The most popular sedan of the brand in Europe was the ES model. In the 12 months of 2023, 7,795 units of this car were sold, with the vast majority, that is, 7,407 cars, were hybrids.
