According to preliminary estimates, the CPI inflation rate in October was 5 percent year on year. This is a slight increase compared to the previous month, when the reading was 4.9 percent year on year. There was a monthly increase of 0.3 percent. High inflation indicators will stay with us till the end of the year, although they may slightly decrease in the last two months and reach values below 5 percent. Further inflation rise beginning of 2025 will depend on the scale of energy price increases and possible updates of price lists. After the first quarter – when the trend of inflation is likely to reverse – there will be room to start a cycle of interest rate cuts.
