A quick estimate of the CPI inflation in Poland for September was 4.9 percent y/y. The figure is higher than the market consensus of 4.8 percent y/y. As reported by GUS [Central Statistical Office of Poland], energy carriers mainly contributed to the inflation rise, due to the partial thawing of prices from July 1st of this year, as well as food and non-alcoholic beverages.

The inflation peak should be reached around the beginning of next year, and its height will depend on the protective measures implemented for 2025.
