COMPANIESColumbus Energy improves financial results after three quarters of 2024

The Columbus Energy Group summarised its activities over the past three quarters. During this period, the Group’s revenues amounted to PLN 233.9 million and the consolidated EBITDA result reached PLN 20.9 million (compared to a loss of PLN -19.7 million in the same period in 2023).

According to the published quarterly report, Columbus also noted a significant improvement in its unit’s results. Over three quarters, the company generated revenues of PLN 216.3 million and produced a PLN 32 million EBITDA (compared to a loss of PLN -0.9 million in 2023). The Columbus board explains that the achieved results are the result of the effective implementation of the Group’s strategy, which is based on three pillars: the energy transformation of homes and businesses, the implementation of large-scale investments, and the introduction of technological innovations in the energy sector.

“Since the end of the first quarter, we have been focusing heavily on implementing the Clean Air programme, the current edition of which is aimed at owners of single-family residential houses and includes co-financing a comprehensive thermomodernisation of buildings and replacement of old furnaces with modern power sources. Just in the first 4 months of this programme, we have contracted over 4,000 agreements, worth nearly PLN 500 million gross, and at the end of September, we have secured 8.2 thousand agreements, worth over PLN 1 billion,” explains Dawid ZieliƄski, the President of Columbus Energy S.A.

Importantly, even though, on November 28th this year, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management suspended the ability to submit new applications in order to protect the programme from numerous abuses by contractors, Columbus decided to use this moment to integrate and consolidate the market.

“To that end, we have established Columbus ONE, catering to those in the renewable energy sector, whose businesses may be threatened by changes in the grant programme Clean Air, but who are honest and take care of the Beneficiaries as Columbus does. The offer of the company will ensure such companies receive a continuation of the sale of renewable energy products, help in maintaining liquidity and also operational support,” comments Dawid ZieliƄski.

The Columbus board highlights that the Group launched an innovative service for synchronising energy devices – Columbus Intelligence, in the third quarter, which, among other things, accelerates a 20-40% return on investment in home energy storages, and which is already used by nearly half a thousand homes.

“We are confident that the combination of revenues from the prosumer segment (Clean Air and My Energy programmes) with Columbus Intelligence technological solutions, as well as the construction and sale or refinancing of our assets, will resulting in a reduction or full repayment of financing from investor DC24, and our growth strategy will be continued in Poland and abroad,” adds the Columbus President.
