Columbus continues to achieve successes in the Czech Republic. After a successful tender for the supply of photovoltaic installations for the city of Brno, the company is turning towards new opportunities, establishing a partnership with one of the most important players in the European energy market – ČEZ.
Columbus Energy recently recorded a significant success, winning a tender for the supply and assembly of photovoltaic installations on roofs of buildings belonging to the city of Brno. The company was among three selected entities out of many participants who applied for the tender announced by the city authorities. The total value of this investment is 2.2 billion Czech koruna, which equals almost 390 million zlotys.
Now, Columbus is celebrating another achievement in the Czech market. The company has been qualified as one of the suppliers of photovoltaic farms in the Czech Republic for ČEZ a.s., headquartered in Prague.

As part of this collaboration, Columbus Energy has entered into a consortium with a tried and tested company in the Czech market – Energon Energy Solutions s.r.o., This will allow for the synergistic use of competencies and resources of both partners to deliver the highest quality services. Energon Holding companies have successfully implemented projects not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the UK, Spain, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, and other countries.
“This contract not only confirms Columbus Energy’s reputation in the photovoltaic industry, but also strengthens its position in the European market as a trusted supplier of energy solutions,” adds Michał Gondek.
ČEZ, as one of the leading companies in the Czech Republic and a leading energy group in Central and Western Europe, is a key partner for Columbus Energy. The basis of electricity production in the ČEZ Group are emission-free sources – nuclear energy and renewable energy sources.
