COMPANIESB-Act Secures Critically Important Enterprise Status in Ukraine and Signs Three New Contracts for Construction Supervision

B-Act, an engineering company listed on NewConnect specializing in consultancy and supervision of construction investments, has been included in the list of critically important enterprises for Ukraine’s economy. Having this status guarantees the company’s representation operational continuity and the availability of the team. B-Act also signed three new contracts in Ukraine for supervision and technical consultations. The first two contracts are for construction works at residential buildings in Kiev. The third contract involves supervision over the reconstruction and renovation of a hospital in Myrhorod (Poltava region), with the total estimated budget of this project being approx. 19 million PLN. The company has already accumulated a total of 19 contracts for implementation in Ukraine. Contracts related to the reconstruction of Ukraine are a significant element of the company’s strategy, which is being developed by the representation in that region.

“We are implementing our strategy and strengthening our position in Ukraine. We have signed new, important contracts. However, what is also important is that we have obtained the status of a critically important enterprise, which means that our representation has a decisive importance for national security, economic stability, and the welfare of citizens in Ukraine. This status ensures our operational continuity by reserving key employees from conscription in case of mobilisation. This allows us to maintain the company’s personnel potential and ensure its stable operation in crisis situations,” says Adam BiaƂachowski, the President of the Management Board of B-Act SA.

Critically important enterprises in Ukraine can include energy companies, defence industry enterprises, medical facilities, transport companies, and others. The achievement of this status by B-Act’s representation is an important step towards the company’s operation in the local market.

The company has signed additional contracts for consultancy and supervision over construction works implementation in three locations – two in Kiev and one in Myrhorod in Poltava region. These are additional implementations, which indicate a trend towards minor reconstruction of Ukraine and the allocation of new funds for this purpose.

“The damage as a result of extensive Russian attacks on facilities in Ukraine is significant. The contracts in Kiev involve consultancy on construction works for residential buildings. Rebuilding and renewing strategic buildings – hospitals, power networks, key buildings for the operation of cities and their surroundings, is also a big challenge,” explains Yuriy Sereda, Director of B-Act’s representation in Ukraine. “Minor reconstruction of Ukraine is an important element that will be continued. Numerous funds, both from public and private entities, allow us to look optimistically at the reconstruction. We want to support the minor reconstruction of Ukraine, and the representation we have established allows us to gain more contracts,” adds Yuriy Sereda.

The company is already implementing 19 contracts in Ukraine. B-Act’s sales revenue for the first half of this year amounted to 8 million PLN, which was a 30% increase year-on-year. EBITDA and net profit amounted to 824 and 582 thousand PLN respectively.
