COMPANIESAlsendo Acquires Lithuanian Platforms Siusk24 and Cargobooking

Alsendo, supported by Abris Capital Partners fund, carries out another overseas acquisition. Siusk 24 and Cargobooking platforms, owned by the Lithuanian company Visas transportas UAB, join the brand’s portfolio. This is the next acquisition by Alsendo carried out within the last two years. The company currently operates in 6 markets in the CEE region and is the largest supplier of delivery management solutions in Central Europe.

Visas transportas UAB has been operating since 2014. With offices in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, it handles about 20,000 orders per month. The operator’s portfolio includes the parcel platform Siusk24, mainly serving small and medium B2X customers, and the Cargobooking platform, focusing on larger loads and cross-border freights.

The acquisition of Visas transportas UAB will support Alsendo’s cross-border operations as an e-commerce service provider by providing access to new groups of customers, know-how and technology, while enabling the company to achieve potential synergies.

“The acquisition has a strong justification in our strategy, which focuses on overseas expansion and development of cross-border services. Siusk24 has extensive know-how in this area, focusing on international shipments for many years. So far as Alsendo, we mainly built our position in domestic shipments, but thanks to acquisitions, we entered the broader Central European market, so cross border became a natural direction of our development.

“Lithuania is the largest e-commerce market in the Baltic region, with the highest share of e-businesses (39 percent) in the economy in Europe. It’s a good starting point for further development in this part of Europe, especially as Alsendo’s offer focuses on technological solutions for the segment of small and medium-sized enterprises.”comments Magdalena Magnuszewska, CEO, Alsendo.

The acquisition also strengthens Alsendo’s position as a consolidator of the logistics technology sector in Central Europe, introducing new geographical areas and unlocking the potential for cross-selling across the entire group.

“Joining a larger group is an exciting moment for us. Over the past year, we have focused on scaling our business and developing our technological platform, as well as looking for commercial opportunities. We are even more pleased to join a larger group and the opportunities that open up for us.”adds Egidijus Breikštas, CEO and Co-Founder, Visas transportas UAB.

This is another acquisition by Alsendo within the last two years in the CEE region. The company currently operates in 6 markets, having in its portfolio brands such as: Apaczka, Sendit, Zaslat, Ecolet and Innoship – a SaaS software provider for carrier management.

“We are happy that from 2022 we can be involved in the international growth of Alsendo and investment in its plans. We will continue to focus on a buy-and-build strategy. The aim is further international expansion, consolidation and transformation into a leading provider of delivery management solutions using technology.”mentions Edgar Koleśnik, partner, Abris Capital Partners.

The transaction is subject to the procedure of obtaining the consent of the antitrust authority.
