COMPANIESPTWP Group Reports 28% Revenue Growth in Q3 2024

In the third quarter of this year, the PTWP Group generated PLN 16.3 million in sales revenue, marking an increase of 28 percent compared to the same period last year. Similar to the first quarter, the PTWP Group recorded an increase in operational costs allocated for investments that will impact the results in the last quarter of 2024. These activities affected the net loss in the third quarter. However, after three quarters, the PTWP Group already has over PLN 76.3 million in revenue, which represents a 23.1 percent year-on-year increase and PLN 2.9 million in net profit and EBITDA at the level of PLN 4.7 million. At the end of the reported period, the group had PLN 21.9 million in cash assets, demonstrating its strong financial condition. PTWP is progressively expanding its operations, engagement in organizing its own events, and strengthening its position in the online segment.

“We are very consistent in implementing our development plan, while diversification of our business segments should ensure smaller quarterly fluctuations in revenue levels, which are somewhat determined by seasonality. Despite the holiday period usually being a bit quieter in terms of events, we try to use this time for investments and good preparation ahead of the extremely busy autumn-winter months,” says Wojciech Kuśpik, president of the PTWP Group.

“We recorded an above-inflation increase in costs related to organizing events and managing facilities, but I believe that we are responding very well to this increase and managing the risk. Key investments affected the negative operating and final result in this quarter. However, the result is also burdened by a one-off event like a write-off, while the clean result is better than last year’s. We are happy with the rolling result after nine months in 2024 and I believe that our preparations, as well as a high degree of contracting in buildings, will translate into a good result for the last quarter and further boost the PTWP Group’s annual results,” he adds.

The PTWP Group continues its dynamic development in the online publishing segment, the organization of its own events and facility management – Spodek and the International Congress Centre in Katowice.

It’s worth emphasizing that from September to November this year, nearly 17 thousand participants both in-person and online participated in PTWP’s business events, and since the beginning of the year, the number has already reached almost 70 thousand people.

“The organization of original events is one of our key revenue segments, which has a significant impact on our financial results. We are constantly expanding our portfolio and I can already reveal that in 2025 we will launch new formats of our own events, which will translate into further, dynamic development of our business. We will soon be able to share the details. I believe that the end of this year, as well as the next quarters, will bring us a lot of positive information,” highlights Wojciech Kuśpik.

The PTWP Group also places a strong emphasis on the development of the online segment and the monetization of traffic on its websites. Currently, the group’s publishing portfolio consists of 18 portals, attracting on average about 20 million unique users each month. At the end of September this year, portals from the PTWP Group were the vice leader in the ranking of top Polish business media, compiled by Mediapanel Gemius. The company plans to successively launch further specialist internet portals.

PTWP Group’s resources have also been largely engaged in the management of the International Congress Centre and Spodek (through the subsidiary PTWP Event Center). From July to September this year, events taking place in these facilities included: the 28th International Congress of the Polish Cardiological Society, the 25th Convention of the Polish Orthodontic Society, the 44th Scientific Convention of the Polish Orthopedic and Traumatological Society, Central Patient Club, International Expo Katowice Trade Fair, concerts by artists such as Korn, Kali, Forever Young, 3Króli, Young Multi, Special Concert “Rysiek Riedel. Time Machine”, Board Games Festival, Please, Stand-up!, Wikimania 2024, Tattoo Konwent, International Dance Festival Bachaturo, and the Men’s Volleyball Supercup Poland 2024.

Thanks to its high cash position, the Group remains open to acquisitions, both in the events sector and the publishing sector.
