COMPANIESAnother transfer from Allegro to XTB. Polish fintech strengthens Technology Department

XTB has strengthened its Technology and Product department. Kinga Ćwiklińska has joined the team led by Adam Dubiel and will be responsible for the data platform and product analytics. She has previously been associated with Allegro and Santander Bank Polska.

XTB is set on developing its proprietary technology – an online investment platform, and a mobile application. The Technology and Product department, which already employs nearly 500 people, is one of the key areas within the company’s structure.

“Our goal is to build a leading investment platform accessible to everyone,” says Adam Dubiel, Chief Product & Technology Officer at XTB. “We are one of the fastest-growing fintechs in the region and we set ambitious product goals, which we aim to achieve based on high-quality data. We are building solutions based on machine learning and AI, but we do not forget the basics. We want to offer our clients, from South America to Asia, the comfort of daily use of our app to manage their investments. I believe that Kinga, as a top-class specialist, will help us achieve this,” adds Adam Dubiel.

At XTB, Kinga Ćwiklińska is involved in product analytics and the development of a data platform towards cloud solutions. In both cases, she will use artificially intelligent solutions prepared by the AI team managed by Dr. Tomasz Gawron. She has experience in both the financial sector, at Santander Bank Polska, and e-commerce. She worked for over 10 years at Allegro, where in addition to managing teams of analysts and data engineers, she coordinated technological initiatives to support the high quality of e-commerce platform data.

“I appreciate being able to join a fintech with such great ambitions. I am convinced that I will be able to use my experience to improve the XTB investment platform,” says Kinga Ćwiklińska, Head of Data Platform & Product Analytics at XTB. “We are currently focusing on wider use of cloud in data analysis. The introduction of new solutions and technologies will provide us with the ability to process and utilize a larger amount of data. This will allow us to optimize a number of internal processes, business decisions and the implementation of products tailored to customer needs,” adds Ćwiklińska.

2024 is the year of new products at XTB. During that time, the offer of the Polish fintech increased with automated Investment Plans, free exchange of currencies between accounts and IKE accounts for retirement savings. By the end of the year, the implementation of a virtual wallet with a multi-currency card on further European markets and an ISA account in the UK is planned.
