The final inflation reading in September 2024 stood at 4.9 percent year-on-year and was consistent with the preliminary estimate.
Current market forecasts indicate that the positive dynamic of price growth will persist until approximately the first quarter of 2025, when the inflation peak should appear.
The level of inflation at its peak will depend on the protective measures initiated for 2025, which will be revealed closer to the end of this year. In the meantime, in November, we will learn about the NBP’s inflation projections, which will shed light on the development of the inflation peak in the upcoming months.
The market consensus assumes that we should experience the first interest rate cuts in the spring of 2025.
