Jaworzno is becoming a key player on the map of Polish electromobility – where the construction of an electric car factory for the Izera brand starts soon. The tender for this innovative investment was won by Mirbud, a leader in the Polish construction industry. The selection of the contractor is the result of concluding the tender procedure, officially confirmed by signing a letter of intent between Piotr Zaremba, the president of ElectroMobility Poland, and Jerzy Mirgos, the president of MIRBUD S.A.
The intended cooperation aims at the comprehensive execution of construction works in the Jaworzno Economic Area. Plans anticipate that the newly established factory will produce up to 150,000 units of electric cars annually. The realization of this project will be possible after finalizing the appropriate agreements and obtaining the necessary corporate consents by ElectroMobility Poland. The start of mass production of Izera brand cars is planned for mid-2026.
Highlighting the significance of this project for the Polish economy and automotive industry, Piotr Zaremba emphasized that cooperation with an experienced Polish entity like MIRBUD S.A. guarantees the highest quality of execution and adherence to deadlines. “The factory will be ready within 23 months from the start of construction, which is crucial for the quick introduction of our cars to the market,” added Zaremba.
The project will be carried out in a “Design and Build” formula, meaning Mirbud is fully responsible for the design, construction, and preparation of the factory for commissioning. Jerzy Mirgos emphasized that selecting their company as the contractor for this strategic investment is a testament to their experience, engineering knowledge, and implementation potential. “We want our execution to be a showcase for the Silesia region and Jaworzno, as well as a symbol of the development of Polish electromobility,” noted Mirgos.
