She also puts emphasis on further effective business integration with Deloitte Ukraine, which the company initiated in January this year, as well as the expansion of the local client portfolio.

A Pole at the Helm of Deloitte in Central Europe

For the first time in the history of the company, the position of the head of Deloitte Central Europe will be held by a Pole, Tomasz Konik. He will lead a region consisting of more than 13,000 employees from 19 countries.

Over the past four years, Tomas has been a managing partner of Deloitte in Poland and the Baltic countries. The Deloitte Poland Foundation, focusing its efforts on climate, education, and charity, was initiated by him. The foundation has been involved in humanitarian aid in the initial months of the war in Ukraine and supports refugees in Poland and Ukrainians who remained in their home country to this day.

Tomasz Konik graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice and the international MBA program at St. Gallen in Switzerland.

He has been associated with the company for over 20 years, starting his professional career in the Tax Advisory department, where he established the company’s office in Katowice and also led multidisciplinary advisory teams for energy and natural resources, and consulting for Chinese investors. As the company’s vice-president, he was responsible for the development of key clients and industry programs for several years.

He will use his extensive experience to strengthen the regional potential of the company, which in recent years has been intensively developing its portfolio of services, including strengthening technology advisory.
