XTPL will deliver the Delta Printing System (DPS) to a new client in California in the first half of 2024. XTPL’s technology will be used for micro-assembly in integrated microelectronic devices. This is the fourth sale of the DPS device in the US, with previous buyers including a Nasdaq-listed company from the global ICT industry Big Five. Urs Berger, appointed as Director of Sales for North America at the beginning of 2024, is supporting XTPL’s broader operations in the US. Berger had previously spent 16 years in key management roles at Optomec. As per XTPL’s strategy for 2023-2026, the company’s first sales center will be launched in the second half of 2024, located in Boston. The facility will feature a laboratory where potential clients can familiarize themselves with XTPL technology and product offerings, including industrial implementation modules, DPS devices, and HPM materials (nano-inks).
“We are building an organization characterized by a high level of innovation and global reach at XTPL. We are one of the few entities in the world with advanced and, most importantly, commercially validated printing technology. We are extremely pleased to have someone with the vast, key experience that Urs Berger brings to our team. Through his role, we plan to significantly strengthen our presence in the North American market in 2024 and open XTPL’s technology-dedicated sales center in Boston in the second half of the year, as part of our strategy for 2023-2026. This strategy is aimed at a tenfold increase in product and service sales to PLN 100 million by the end of 2026,” comments Filip Granek, President of XTPL S.A.
Urs Berger has over 20 years of international business experience, including 16 years in the additive manufacturing and printed electronics industry. Before joining XTPL, he held key management roles at Optomec in the US and Switzerland where he was responsible for Business Development. Berger holds an MBA in International Business from the University of San Diego and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.
“I am excited to join the team and believe that the Ultra Precise Dispensing technology will power the next generation of advanced electronics, based on miniaturization trends and the highest possible precision that distinguishes XTPL,” says Urs Berger, Sales Director for North America at XTPL.
Delivery of the DPS device to the client in California is scheduled for the first half of 2024. This client has decades of experience in conducting advanced research and actively participates in commercializing technological solutions. The DPS device will be used for micro-assembly in integrated microelectronic devices.
“I am convinced that, with Urs’s help, XTPL’s technology will find its way to the laboratories of many more scientific institutions as well as commercial companies’ R&D departments, and ultimately to the production lines of leading next-generation electronics manufacturers. The next sale of the DPS device in the US, to a recognized entity in California, confirm our decision to open a dedicated sales center. The facility in Boston, Massachusetts will have its own laboratory where potential clients can fully familiarize themselves with our technology and product offerings. We want to be even closer to companies that will be working on our devices,” adds Jacek Olszański, XTPL’s Board member for finance.
XTPL’s business model is based on three complementary business lines: industrial implementation modules for global electronics manufacturers’ production lines, the Delta Printing System (DPS) prototyping devices, and High Performance Materials (HPM, nano-inks). The company currently has 9 projects aimed at industrial implementation of its technology, 4 of which are in advanced stages of development and cover 3 strategic areas for the company: semiconductors, displays, and advanced PCBs. The total potential of all currently developed 9 industrial-targeted projects, provided they are positively validated, XTPL estimates at around PLN 400 million in average annual revenue.
