COMPANIESWolt Introduces Financing Service for Restaurateurs in Poland

Wolt has launched a new financing service, Wolt Capital, aimed at supporting restaurateurs in their daily challenges and long-term growth. In collaboration with Finmid, the company offers financial resources to improve cash flow and enable new investments. Given the challenging environment for the restaurant industry in Poland—where the survival rate of new businesses in the first year is just 43.7%[1]—this initiative could play a key role in stabilizing and fostering business growth.

The Restaurant Industry’s Struggles

The restaurant sector, even outside of pandemic times, is vulnerable to volatility and seasonality. Small businesses, like restaurants, often face difficulties in obtaining financing, which hinders their ability to sustain operations and invest in growth. Traditional banks tend to require complicated application processes and high standards regarding credit and business history. As a result, access to quick and fair financial support is extremely limited for small business owners. Faced with these challenges, many micro-enterprises turn to consumer loans, which aren’t always beneficial for their needs.

Supporting Restaurateurs’ Growth

“Our mission at Wolt is to improve the quality of life in cities, and supporting our restaurant partners is an integral part of this mission. We are thrilled that **Wolt Capital** aligns perfectly with this goal, offering restaurateurs financing that helps them manage everyday challenges and enables long-term growth,” says Agata Polityło, General Manager of Wolt Poland.

She adds, “The initial feedback from markets where we piloted this service has been incredibly positive. Along with Finmid, we’ve recorded a high satisfaction rate of 81 points on the NPS scale among users. We are confident that Wolt Capital will not only open new growth opportunities but also provide stability and security for small and medium-sized businesses in the restaurant industry. With this support, our partners will be able to better manage daily challenges and gain confidence in the future of their businesses, allowing them to focus on long-term goals, innovation, and service quality.”

How Does Wolt Capital Work?

Wolt partners with Finmid to offer cash advances to eligible business partners. Approved partners will see the offered advance amount in their partner dashboard under the “Wolt Capital” section. Once the offer is accepted, funds can be deposited into their bank account within 1-2 business days. The acceptance process is simple and does not require additional documentation—just a few clicks. Additionally, accepting the offer does not impact the partner’s credit rating. Repayment is also easy and automated, based on sales made through Wolt.

What Makes Wolt Capital Unique?

The approval and disbursement process for Wolt Capital funds is significantly faster compared to traditional financing methods, making it easily accessible and convenient. The repayment structure is tied to business performance (a percentage of sales instead of fixed amounts), providing greater flexibility during periods of reduced profitability. Moreover, there are no application fees, making the service even more attractive to small businesses.

“We were able to open a new location closer to the city center thanks to **Wolt Capital**. The financing process was quick and smooth, and our account manager, who we’ve worked with for several years, was extremely helpful. The funds allowed us to not only purchase new equipment but also expand our menu with premium-quality dishes, significantly elevating our restaurant,” says Marcin Głogowski, owner of **Kawałek Smaku** in Wrocław. “The restaurant industry is often overlooked by financial institutions, and we appreciate that Wolt takes care of restaurateurs’ needs in various areas.”

Expansion Plans

Wolt Capital is currently available in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. The company plans to expand the service to additional countries to support as many of its business partners as possible.
