COMPANIESVis Plantis will build a new production plant in Szczurowa, investing over 27 million PLN

The Krakow-based company Vis Plantis is set to build a new production plant in the town of Szczurowa. This Polish cosmetics manufacturer has received support in the form of a tax exemption for entrepreneurs in the Małopolska region and the Jędrzejów district through the Poland Investment Zone Programme of the Krakow Technology Park. Vis Plantis will invest over PLN 27 million in this project.

Vis Plantis – a family-owned business with Polish capital that creates cosmetics for both men and women – has been awarded the 300th support decision within the Poland Investment Zone Programme. The company’s Latin name, which translates to “the power of plants,” reflects its philosophy of deriving the valuable and simple ingredients for its cosmetics from nature. Vis Plantis continually expands its portfolio, which currently includes around 700 products available both in Poland and abroad. The new factory will produce, amongst other things, the cosmetics lines so!flow and Pharma Care, as well as Wow!Pets pet care products.

The tax exemption that the company received as part of the Poland Investment Zone Programme will allow the company to establish a new production plant in the town of Szczurowa. Vis Plantis will purchase land property on which it will construct a new factory, including a research and development laboratory, a control laboratory, a warehouse for raw materials and packaging, and a warehouse for finished goods. It will also equip the factory with modern production lines for manufacturing detergents, cream masks, and emulsions. The company will allocate PLN 27,550,000 for this purpose.

“The decision to start the investment in the form of building our headquarters and a research and development laboratory was very difficult. Representatives of the Krakow Technology Park helped us make this decision, for example, by pointing out suitable locations for us and informing us about the necessary formalities and actions required. They also helped us obtain the decision to be exempted from income tax under the Poland Investment Zone Programme. In the future, we hope to continue our cooperation in adjusting our company to the green revolution, as well as receiving support for collaboration with universities and industry schools in R&D work and personnel training,” said Jarosław Topolski, the CEO of Vis Plantis.

Since the establishment of the Poland Investment Zone Programme, the Krakow Technology Park has issued 300 support decisions to entrepreneurs from the Małopolska region and the Jędrzejów district. These entrepreneurs have collectively invested close to PLN 11 billion and created over 5,000 jobs.
