Russian forces continue their offensive in the western part of the Donetsk region, aiming to cut off the remaining supply routes for Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Kurakhove and Velyka Novosilka. According to some reports, access to supplies in Velyka Novosilka has already been limited, with communication now possible only via dirt roads from Vremivka, one of the few settlements still under Ukrainian control. In Kurakhove, the fighting has shifted to the western outskirts of the city, where the aggressors have seized the site of a decommissioned thermal power plant. To the west of the city, a new pocket of resistance has formed, with Ukrainian forces holding three villages, including the strategic Ulakla, crucial for maintaining supplies. Russian troops are positioned approximately 2 kilometers south of this village. Advances by the invaders have also been noted northwest of Kurakhove and south of Pokrovsk; however, these developments have not significantly altered the overall operational situation.
Intense fighting continues in Toretsk and Chasiv Yar. In Toretsk, Russian forces have deepened their encirclement from the west, though the situation in the city remains largely unchanged. In Chasiv Yar, however, the aggressors have made significant progress, capturing its western part. Despite this, Ukrainian defenders still control the southern section of the city, ensuring the maintenance of supply lines. Minor gains by Russian forces have also been reported north and south of Kupiansk and in the Kursk region, but these do not substantially impact the broader frontline. Slight adjustments to the line of contact, favoring one side or the other, have occurred in other areas of the conflict.
