The median salaries for IT specialists dealing with artificial intelligence are continually increasing, reaching already 30,000 PLN ($8,000) net (+VAT) in the case of B2B contracts and 29,000 PLN gross in employment contracts. 94% of people working in the IT industry are daily using artificial intelligence tools. In most non-IT industries, the requirement to understand artificial intelligence tools, according to No Fluff Jobs data, is currently quite low, except for marketing, where it can be found in over a tenth of job listings.
Despite the noticeable downturn in the IT job market for months, companies seeking specialists in artificial intelligence are ready to propose them really high salaries. According to the latest data from No Fluff Jobs, a Polish job posting portal that has facilitated candidates finding work that matches their financial expectations for 10 years, salaries in specialties related to artificial intelligence rise quarter by quarter.
In the first three months of this year, the lower and upper salary ranges in this category were 18-28,000 PLN (+VAT) on B2B contract and 16-25,000 PLN gross in employment contracts. In the third quarter, they have reached already 21-30,000 PLN net (+VAT) for B2B and 17-29,000 PLN gross for employment contracts. This means increases from 6.2% to as much as 16.6%.
Over 30 candidates per one AI specialty job listing
Job offers in specialties related to artificial intelligence also enjoy a high interest from candidates – since the beginning of the year, an average of over 30 people apply per job listing. People working in IT not only gladly apply for positions related to this technology, but as the No Fluff Jobs “AI on the IT job market” report reveals, 94% of specialists use these types of tools every day. Only 29% fear about losing their jobs due to artificial intelligence.
“Tellingly, despite many voices expressing fears that artificial intelligence will take away people’s jobs – this was particularly loudly discussed recently, related to the “hiring” by OFF Radio Krakow of three hosts entirely generated by AI – people working in the IT sector don’t fear it,” says Tomasz Bujok, CEO of No Fluff Jobs. “However, advances in the development of this technology suggest we should consider the possibility of some companies laying off employees and replacing them with artificial intelligence. Predominantly under threat are professions where many repetitive tasks are performed. How to protect yourself? It’s surely worth befriending artificial intelligence, learn how to use it effectively in daily work, acquire new skills. Remember that AI can also create new job opportunities, related to its development, teaching or testing.”
Knowledge of AI is now expected in 12% of job listings in marketing
The expectation by candidates of being able to use artificial intelligence tools is beginning to be gradually seen in industries outside IT as well. Mostly, in marketing – in this category, knowledge of AI tools is mentioned as required or appreciated in almost 12% of job listings. Next, but with significantly lower percentages, are legal professions (5.6% of job listings), telecommunications (4.5%), consulting (3%) and logistics (2.7%). In other surveyed industries, the percentage of job listings with the requirement to know artificial intelligence so far does not exceed 2.5%. The lowest is in the category of electronics (0.3%) and customer service (0.9%).
