For the first time in its history, Render Cube S.A. will pay a dividend. The company has decided to distribute a total of 6 million PLN from its net profit to shareholders who held shares in Render Cube on their accounts by July 31. The net profit for 2023 was 7.6 million PLN. All the company’s shares, numbering 1,071,900, are included in the dividend payout.
“The good financial situation of Render Cube allows us to financially appreciate the long-term commitment of our shareholders and share our net profit for the first time in 2023. Although we have not adopted a dividend policy at this time, it is not excluded in the future. However, it should be remembered that the game development sector requires substantial investment in new titles,” says Damian Szymański, CEO of Render Cube.
By decision of the General Meeting of Shareholders of Render Cube, a total of 6 million PLN from the net profit will go to shareholders who held shares in the company on their accounts by July 31. The amount of 1.6 million PLN is to go to the reserve capital.
“At the end of the first quarter, we had 26.2 million PLN in cash. Good financial results and the ability to generate cash are thanks to our strong IP Medieval Dynasty. We see that the player base who can purchase the title is growing, evidenced by the number of people on the wishlist. We recently announced sales of 2 million copies. We see that each addition and strengthening of production with additional content often generates purchasing impulse, so we will continue developing our IP,” adds Damian Szymański.
On June 27, the studio made a cooperative mode and Cross-Play for Medieval Dynasty available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Game Store, and the Game Pass service.
As announced, Render Cube also began preliminary work on a new game. The company does not exclude that the production might be developed from the beginning with a multiplayer (multi-person) mode in mind. It will likely be a game with RPG elements.
“We are currently in the concept stage of a new game, exploring different options. We are aiming for a sprawling world,” adds Damian Szymański.
Render Cube netted 5.09 million PLN in revenues in the first quarter of 2024, compared to 2.07 million PLN the previous year. From January to March, the EBITDA profit amounted to 4.26 million PLN vs. 0.91 million PLN year-on-year. In the reported period, Render Cube achieved a net profit of 2.48 million PLN, compared to a net profit of 0.3 million PLN in the same period last year.
