The Raen Group, a platform that integrates investors with renewable energy projects, has entered into a cooperation agreement with Sungate International Services for the implementation of a wind farm project with an estimated capacity of about 100 MW.
The partners’ activities will involve obtaining all the necessary documents to implement the wind farm, including the environmental decision, conditions for connection to the grid, and the construction permit. Raen, in particular, will be responsible for acquiring the target investor for whom the project will be developed. The wind farm, jointly carried out with the Estonian company Sungate International Services, is located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
“The agreement is an element of the realization of a broad plan for the development of renewable energy projects in Poland, also in the field of wind energy. The role of wind power generation in Poland will grow in the coming years with the need for diversification of energy production profile from renewable sources and increased demand for green energy” – says Adam Guz, President of the Board of Raen Capital Group.
Raen’s strategy for 2023 – 2025 aims to increase the portfolio of contracts for the development of renewable energy projects to about 3 GW by the end of 2025. Currently, the portfolio of contracts for the implementation of photovoltaic farms amounts to almost 1.6 GW, and the Group has 1.1 GW of planned capacities at the greenfield stage and 2.7 GW at the brownfield stage in negotiations.
Raen primarily cooperates with international entities interested in implementing development projects in the renewable energy sector in Poland. It provides comprehensive services in the field of project development, as well as transaction structuring in the energy sector, and opportunistically makes M&A transactions on assets producing energy from renewable sources.
