The Raen Group, a platform connecting investors with RES (Renewable Energy Sources) projects, has signed a tripartite agreement aimed at selling the Dąbrówka Słupska project, along with its construction, to the end investor. The agreement was concluded by a subsidiary – Raen Sp. z o.o., with the owners of the special purpose company and the developer.
“The agreement regarding the development of the Dąbrówka Słupska project with a capacity of 15 MW is the first step of the Raen Capital Group S.A., towards the implementation of smaller RES projects for global investors, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services. We are thus extending the range of activities carried out by the Group and continuing to strengthen the position of the Raen Group on the Polish renewable energy market,” says Adam Guz, CEO of the Raen Capital Group
The subject of the agreement is to determine the rules, obligations, and remuneration in connection with the planned transaction of selling shares in the special purpose company (SPV) and selling the general contractor’s service (EPC) in favor of the end investor. Raen Sp. z o.o. has identified the end investor, to whom it will propose the implementation of the project and will start negotiations with them.
Raen mainly cooperates with international entities that are interested in implementing developer projects in the RES sector in Poland. Projects are currently being prepared for the French group Engie and the Greek METKA, and at the end of April 2024, a JV agreement was signed with the Spanish Cobra Group for the joint implementation of a PV project with a capacity of over 150 MW in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The Raen Group also has signed letters of intent and agreements for the preparation of PV projects with several large international entities such as Goldbeck Solar from Germany, Canadian Solar from Canada or the Polish company Mercer Solar belonging to the international GoldPeaks Capital group from Switzerland. The contract portfolio for the implementation of photovoltaic farms amounts to almost 1.6 GW, and the Group is negotiating 1.1 GW of planned capacity at the greenfield stage and 2.7 GW at the brownfield stage.
