Every day, for many months, there have been attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus. It has been confirmed that Russia is behind the groups of migrants illegally breaching our border.
– “The pressure on Poland’s eastern border is not a spontaneous migration of people fleeing various countries. Currently, these very precise data are very concerning. Over 90% of those crossing the Polish border illegally possess Russian visas. This is different from the initial phase of this migration pressure,” pointed out Donald Tusk.
In countries like Somalia, Eritrea, Yemen, and Ethiopia, Russian outposts are recruiting groups of people. These individuals are most often brought to Moscow and then transported to Belarus.
– “Several locations have been identified in Russia where large groups of such organized migrants are concentrated. We are talking about thousands of people,” emphasized the Prime Minister. “I also mention this to make us aware of how demanding, difficult, and sometimes dangerous the service of our Border Guard, Police, and military is on this border,” he added.
Therefore, it is crucial to fully secure the eastern border with the “Eastern Shield,” a security project involving partial fortifications and reinforcements on Poland’s eastern border.
