The Financial Supervision Authority has approved the appointment of two new members to the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). Michał Kobza will be responsible for development and sales, while Marcin Rulnicki will oversee financial management.
- The Supervisory Board of the WSE appointed Michał Kobza and Marcin Rulnicki to the Management Board in July 2024.
- The appointment of the new WSE Management Board members was preceded by a competitive selection process.
- The WSE Management Board consists of a maximum of five members.
The Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has given its consent to the changes in the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). Consequently, Michał Kobza and Marcin Rulnicki have become the new members of the Management Board. In July 2024, the WSE Supervisory Board, following a qualification process for the positions of WSE Management Board members for development and sales, as well as finance, appointed Michał Kobza and Marcin Rulnicki to the WSE Management Board.
Currently, the WSE Management Board consists of:
- Tomasz Bardziłowski, President of the Management Board
- Sławomir Panasiuk, Vice President of the Management Board, IT Member of the Management Board
- Monika Gorgoń, Member of the Management Board for Operations and Regulations
- Michał Kobza, Member of the Management Board for Development and Sales
- Marcin Rulnicki, Member of the Management Board for Finance
Michał Kobza
Michał Kobza is an expert with over 15 years of experience in capital market infrastructure, sales, business development, financial product management, and strategic projects.
Over the years, he has collaborated with international investment banks, brokers, proprietary trading firms, custodians, and providers of software and telecommunication services for capital market entities.
Since September 2022, Michał Kobza has served as a development expert at WAMID (Saudi Tadawul Advanced Solutions Company) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His duties included identifying and developing new business opportunities for the Tadawul exchange in the MENA region.
From 2008 to 2022, he was associated with the Warsaw Stock Exchange, where he started as a specialist. From 2015 to 2022, he held the positions of director and deputy director of the WSE Market Development Department. He managed a team responsible for acquiring new exchange members, developing pricing incentive programs, and introducing new asset classes. He initiated the launch of the Analytical Coverage Support Program and participated in numerous projects implementing new systems and services. Early in his career, from 2007 to 2008, he worked as a hedge fund accountant at PFPC International (PNC Financial Services Group) in Dublin, Ireland. He served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Infoengine S.A. and GPW Benchmark.
He holds an MBA in Digital Transformation from the Warsaw University of Technology Business School. In 2017, he completed the International Institute for Securities Market Growth (SEC) program in Washington, D.C. Earlier, from 2016 to 2017, he studied IT management at the Warsaw University of Technology. He is also a graduate of the Poznań University of Economics, where he earned a master’s degree in capital investments and corporate finance.
Marcin Rulnicki
Marcin Rulnicki is an experienced financial manager with extensive experience in financial management, business strategy, and mergers and acquisitions processes. From November 2022 to June 2024, he served as CFO in the international SunRoof Group, where he supported the development of a strategic business plan, prepared a long-term financial plan, implemented management reporting and forecasting processes, and oversaw the international finance team.
From 2012 to 2021, he worked at Asseco South Eastern Europe S.A. as CFO of the ASEE Group and a member of the management board. He was responsible for the international finance team, legal and administrative functions, and participated in the development and execution of the Group’s business strategy. From 2009 to 2012, he served as Corporate Finance Manager at Asseco Poland S.A., where he oversaw the finances of the international part of the Asseco Group, participated in acquisition processes, and supervised the group’s foreign assets.
Marcin Rulnicki also has experience as the founder of the advisory firm M3 Advisory and as CFO and CEO at Zachodni Fundusz Inwestycyjny NFI S.A. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as Accounting Manager at Heitman Financial Sp. z o.o. He began his professional career at Ernst and Young Audit.
He holds a master’s degree in capital investments and corporate finance strategy from the Poznań University of Economics and is a certified public accountant.
