POLITICSMotion Ready to Bring Adam Glapiński Before State Tribunal, Says Donald Tusk

“The motion to bring Adam Glapiński before the State Tribunal is ready,” announced Donald Tusk. The Prime Minister added that it will be submitted to the Sejm in the coming days. This could mean that Adam Glapiński may be removed from leading the central bank before his term ends.

To bring the head of the NBP before the State Tribunal, a motion must be submitted to the Marshal of the Sejm by a group of 115 deputies. The Marshal sends a letter to the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Accountability, which then initiates proceedings. When the Sejm decides to hold the accused accountable, it leads to the immediate suspension of the accused from performing their duties.
