Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk, co-founder of Silk Road Games, a European distributor of games on the licensed Chinese market, has taken over as a board member at Big Cheese Studio. In early August, SRG acquired more than 41% of the shares of the Lodz studio, which is responsible for the sales hit – Cooking Simulator. Future plans include changes in the supervisory board and the board of BCS.
During his career, Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk gained extensive experience in the financial market. He has worked with private equity transactions at Advent International (2010-2011) and Mid Europa Partners (2011-2017). He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
“I see great potential in Big Cheese Studio. I am convinced that this company has many successes ahead, and I’m glad that I can support them in their pursuit of these goals. I believe that our collaboration with the team and my experience will contribute to strengthening the company’s position in the competitive gamedev market,” says Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk, a board member at Big Cheese Studio and co-founder of Silk Road Games. “After streamlining processes in the company, reorganizing some of them, we plan changes in the supervisory board, where many well-known names from the gaming industry will appear. Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk’s experience in the gamedev market comes in part as co-founder of Silk Road Games. The company’s business model is to introduce high-quality games to the Chinese market by carrying out the process of adapting the title to the requirements of the Chinese regulator. As a board member at Big Cheese Studio, Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk will be responsible for managing the company’s finances and overseeing its strategy, including potential M&A projects.
“We have an idea for the development of Cooking Simulator and its commercialization on favorable terms. We plan for DLC and to make the title available in a mobile version. We also have high hopes for resuming work on the game’s sequel. And that’s just the beginning,” adds Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk.
Since 2015, Łukasz Robert Włodarczyk has been an active investor (including in Clochee – one of the leading Polish brands in the natural cosmetics segment – and Stella Nutrition, a dietary supplement and medical product manufacturer). Since 2017, he has been active in the area of independent M&A consultancy. He has successfully completed several transactions, including the sale of SolidBrain (IT outsourcing) to IT Kontrakt and the sale of MML (otorhinolaryngology clinic) to Medicover.
