From January 2024, Łukasz Musiałkiewicz has taken up the position of President of the Enefit Board in Poland, a company belonging to the Estonian group Eesti Energia, one of the largest producers of electricity in the Baltic countries. In his new role, Musiałkiewicz will be responsible for further development of the company in the Polish market by adjusting the business offer for the purchase of energy and gas. Additionally, the company has recently expanded its offer to include chargers for electric cars, and will engage in building a public network of chargers.
Łukasz Musiałkiewicz has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry. In the past, he was associated with E.ON Polska, where he served as the Head of Energy Markets. He also gained professional experience as the Regional Operations Manager in the international functional structure of Innogy Polska (formerly part of the RWE group), where he was responsible for portfolio management processes. He is a graduate of the European University Viadrina and earned an MBA as part of a program run by the Warsaw School of Economics in partnership with the University of Montreal.
“I am certainly glad to join the Enefit team and I trust that my experience, knowledge, and passion for the energy industry will allow us to intensify the development of Enefit in the Polish market. The next few years will witness an acceleration of energy system transformation in Poland, which will pose a challenge not only to the industry itself but also to the entire economy. Through collaborative effort, innovation and commitment we can make substantial progress toward green energy, and I believe that our team and our customers will play a significant role in this process. This is both a challenge and a significant responsibility for myself and the entire Eesti Energia group, which we are ready to face,” said Łukasz Musiałkiewicz, President of the Enefit Board in Poland.
“Łukasz has extensive experience in the energy sector and has held senior management roles in leading energy corporations. His familiarity with the European business landscape and a deep understanding of the Polish market ensure he is well-prepared to take on his role. I am confident that he will elevate the company to the next level, making us an even better energy partner for our customers in the Polish market,” added Deepak Ahluwalia, member of the Enefit Board.
Enefit has been present in the Polish market since 2016. The company works with business customers, offering the purchase of energy and gas in various billing models, amongst other services related to energy efficiency, including energy audits and lighting modernization. In 2023, they expanded their offer to include chargers for electric cars and are actively working on building a public network of chargers.
The former president, Maciej Kowalski, resigned from his post in December of last year after seven years building the company’s presence in Poland.
