Jarosław Szanajca, one of the founders and longtime head of Dom Development, plans to step down from his role as CEO by the end of the year and join the supervisory board of the listed developer. Starting from 2025, Mikołaj Konopka, the current board member of Dom Development and co-founder and president of Euro Styl company, which carries out group’s projects in the Tri-City area, will take the helm.
Szanajca has been the CEO of Dom Development since the beginning of the company in 1996. “In the beginning, there was an idea. Quite a concrete one – we wanted to build and then sell apartments. That was essentially all we knew about this business,” recalls Jarosław Szanajca in his book about the early years of the company with a sense of distance and humor.
“Nearly three decades have passed since those early days. During this time, we have become a leader in the housing market in Poland, operating in the four largest agglomerations and selling about 4,000 units annually. We have already handed over about 50,000 apartments to our clients. I speak in plural, because all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the experienced team of more than 800 group employees built over the years,” says Jarosław Szanajca, CEO of Dom Development S.A. “I would like to transfer the day-to-day management of the company into trusted hands at the end of the year, while I plan to continue supporting the further development of Dom Development by joining the company’s supervisory board. From the beginning of next year, the role of the CEO will be taken over by Mikołaj Konopka, who has been a board member of our company since 2018. Knowing his managerial competence and experience in the real estate and construction market, I am convinced that he is the right person to continue developing our Group successfully,” he adds.
Following the recommendation of the current CEO, Groupe Belleforêt, the majority shareholder, has appointed Mikołaj Konopka as the CEO of Dom Development S.A., effective January 1, 2025.

Mikołaj Konopka started his professional career in 1993 by creating a company in the road construction industry. In 2001-2005, he held the position of Board Member and Sales Director in Kombet in Gdynia, and from 2005-2007, he was a Board Member and Sales Director in a company from the Wiennerberger Group – Semmelrock Stein + Design, responsible for the northern Poland area. Since 2007, he has been associated with Euro Styl, initially as Vice President of the Management Board and Managing Director, responsible for strategic areas, including land acquisition and investment preparation. In 2017, he took over the position of CEO of Euro Styl and a year later was appointed as a board member of Dom Development responsible for supervising the general construction activity in the Group, development activities in Kraków, and creating and implementing the company’s ESG strategy.
Mikołaj Konopka is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk, majoring in Maritime Transport Economics. Since 2018, he has been lecturing at UG Management Department and at postgraduate courses in Real Estate and Developer Project Management.
