Kuehne+Nagel has opened a modern, dedicated distribution center in Szczecin. The nearly 21,000 sq. meter facility is equipped with 18 loading ramps and modern warehousing solutions such as drive-in racking systems, palletizing robots, telescopic conveyors, and automated packing and shrink-wrapping machines.
Kuehne+Nagel manages logistics comprehensively, from the moment products arrive at the seaports in Gdańsk and Gdynia, through container unloading, customs clearance, to the receipt of goods in the warehouse in Szczecin. Palletization, shrink-wrapping, order fulfillment, and labeling processes support the preparation of the customer’s items for further distribution. Utilizing its extensive European road network, Kuehne+Nagel guarantees effective delivery in both B2C within e-commerce services, as well as to regional retail sales outlets in B2B in Poland and Western Europe.
Furthermore, Kuehne+Nagel offers additional value-added services (VAS). These include B2B return management, labeling and packaging in accordance with the requirements of various sales networks, and combining products into promotional sets as part of co-packaging service.
Kuehne+Nagel manages the distribution center using its own proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS), integrated with the customer’s ERP system.
“Strategically located, with good access to expressways, seaports, and efficient road connections with seaports, the Szczecin center ensures efficient distribution of the customer’s products in West European countries and Poland. With the opening of this new location, we initially provide dozens of new job opportunities. By providing reliable and comprehensive incoming and outgoing logistics, we enable our clients to focus more on key aspects of their business, leading to their dynamic growth,” said Christophe Le Corre, Contract Logistics Director at Kuehne+Nagel.
