Despite the ongoing war since 2022, Ukrainian startups continue to thrive, demonstrating remarkable resilience and innovation. The total value of Ukraine’s startup ecosystem has reached an estimated 28 billion euros, and the number of unicorns per funded startup is twice the European average. To further support entrepreneurs and tech companies in laying the groundwork for post-war economic recovery, Google has announced the latest beneficiaries of its Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund.
The Ukraine Support Fund program, run in collaboration with 1991 – Ukraine’s first and largest accelerator, is providing 10 million dollars in equity-free funding and mentoring support from Google for Startups to Ukrainian tech firms this year. In addition to 100,000 dollars in funding, selected companies will receive cloud service credits and hands-on mentoring from Google, including product and technical support.
Here are the first beneficiaries of the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund in 2024:
- Ailand Systems – Produces smart and autonomous drones in two models: one detects landmines, and the other removes harmful insects from agricultural fields.
- BazaIT – Provides comprehensive tools for managing the recruitment process.
- Carbominer – Developed a unique technology for capturing carbon dioxide from the air and converting it into a reusable chemical compound.
- Clearly – A technology platform that effectively connects psychotherapists with clients, offering various forms of therapy and sessions.
- Eddy – A digital space for teachers, parents, and students, enabling quick contact and management of administrative tasks.
- Eventmate – An app that allows event creators to engage audiences and build communities through popular messaging platforms.
- Natively – A tool that enables easy conversion of any website into apps for iOS and Android systems.
- Spendbase – A platform for companies to optimize spending on SaaS, cloud services, and corporate cards.
- Uspacy – A comprehensive digital space for small and medium-sized businesses, streamlining communication, collaboration, and CRM.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Ukrainian-founded startups that meet the criteria should apply on the website by July 31 to be considered for the next round.
