COMPANIESColumbus Energy Group Reports Strong H1 Results with Over 150 Million PLN in Revenue and Positive EBITDA, Signaling Return to Growth

Columbus Energy Group published their results over the first half of this year. Individually, the Company achieved over 140 million PLN in revenues and generated over 20 million PLN EBITDA. The Group’s revenue exceeded 150 million PLN and EBITDA reached a value of almost 12 million PLN.

As highlighted in their half-yearly report published today, Columbus Energy achieved 140.8 million PLN in individual revenues and generated an EBITDA of 20.2 million PLN. Meanwhile, the consolidated results of the Group during this period amounted to 150.5 million PLN in revenue, and EBITDA reached a value of 11.8 million PLN, in comparison to the negative value (-15.4 million PLN) during the same period in 2023. The Columbus Management Board believes these results confirm that the Group is back on a track of growth and development. They see significant opportunities for further dynamic growth in the implementation of the Clean Air grant program.

“The Clean Air program, under which we have secured contracts worth over 1 billion PLN, where we expect a conversion of income between 50% and 65%, will certainly be a multi-year, profitable engine of our core business. It is a program that we have started to implement and revenue from which will only appear in subsequent quarters. However, our ambitions tied to this program are much bigger than this pilot contract phase. Impulse support programs, i.e. My Power or grants for thermal modernization of schools from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), will add value to our company at different times,” comments Dawid Zieliński, CEO of Columbus Energy S.A.

The Columbus Management Board also points out the expansion in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where the Group is investing not only in the home segment but also in business and public utility buildings. Additionally, Columbus has created an offer for the thermal modernization of houses in the Czech Republic, following the Polish Clean Air model.

“We are very pleased with our work during the first half of the year,” says Dawid Zieliński. “The green assets area, for which our DC24 investor has provided Columbus Group financing (the only financing Columbus currently has), is doing very well. We are finalizing a transaction with DTEK concerning the sale of a 133 MW energy storage (BESS) project with a capacity of 512 MWh. The next two projects, with a total power of 269 MW and capacity of 1.08 GWh, are reaching milestones in their design and construction stages. We have closed the first phase of the contract with GoldenPeaks Capital, and the construction of photovoltaic farms by EDP is going according to plan.”

As one of its competitive advantages, the Columbus Management Board mentions technology (currently being developed within Columbus Technologies) which is an IT system (hardware and software), based on its own platform, dedicated to distributed energy, energy asset management, and automatic access to wholesale energy prices.

“Columbus continues to evolve – from a solar panel installer to an industry investor, to a Group consolidating the residential market and being an IT innovation leader in the energy sector. Today every installation with an energy or heat store is equipped with HEMS technology. We will present our proprietary version of this technology, along with a platform for managing it, exactly a week from now, on October 7th, during Columbus Day,” adds the Columbus CEO.
