COMPANIESBattle Play S.A. raises 1.65 million PLN for the production of a strategy game through a private share issue, plans another round of financing

The game Play of Battle, developed by the Warsaw-based game dev studio of the same name, will have its production budget bolstered by PLN 1.65 million. The funds were obtained through a private offering in September, in which seven individual investors and one larger entity participated. Another round of financing is on the horizon, this time in the form of a public offering. The Play of Battle game combines Grand Strategy and RTS battles. At the forefront of the studio is Jacek Bartosiak, a geopolitics expert, and Jarosław Kotowski, the vice-president of Play of Battle S.A. Strategic investor and partner of Play of Battle is the Alioth Group.

Play of Battle S.A. successfully completed a private offering of shares, raising PLN 1.65 million. The offering was directed at a select group of investors interested in the gaming industry.

“Thanks to the funds we have received from investors, we can work peacefully on the next milestones of the production of Play of Battle. We thank them for their support and trust, which they have generously given to us. The amount of PLN 1.65 million, which was received by the company, will be fully used for further work on the game. Our production is a unique asset on a global scale. It will not be just ordinary entertainment. We are creating an experience that will immerse the player in the world of war, where they will actively participate: making decisions, planning movements, and even changing the course of history,” says Jacek Bartosiak, President of the Board of Play of Battle S.A.

The Play of Battle game combines Grand Strategy and RTS battles. The action of the game takes place in contemporary times, between 2008 and 2025, a decision which gives the production one of its main competitive advantages. Players will be able to play as any country in the world, with six countries having unique content. They will decide their economy, politics, and diplomacy, and additionally test themselves in battle. The game is distinguished by its realism, which will provide an amazing experience for players. They will be able to fight for buildings and places they know from Warsaw or other Polish cities.

“The market is missing strategic games covering the contemporary era, and we plan to fill this gap and offer players something they have never seen before. In the development of Play of Battle, we have engaged world experts in the field of international relations and battlefield strategy, which gives us unique knowledge that we want to translate to the screen. In addition to Jacek Bartosiak, we are being helped in the design of the game by Krystian Zięć – an F-16 pilot, Gen. Waldemar Skrzypczak, Dr. George Friedman and Prof. Norman Davies. Together we are creating a project that people will want to return to for years, a project that captures the spirit of our era,” adds Jarosław Kotowski, Game Director and Vice President of Play of Battle S.A.

In the fourth quarter, Play of Battle S.A. plans to release a steam game card and invite players to a special event where they will publicly present the latest demo. In 2025, the demo will be released to players. The full game is set to be released in 2026. The studio is considering a public offering to raise funds for the next stages of game production.

Alioth Group is the strategic investor and partner of Play of Battle, providing the company with an opportunity for substantive consultation of the project – access to unique resources and specialized knowledge in the field of defense and military affairs.

The strategy of Play of Battle involves creating highly realistic strategic games with a strong historical narrative, with active support from international experts.
