Bank Pekao S.A. has increased its financing for Poland’s largest network of medical laboratories, Diagnostyka Group, to PLN 395 million. Bank Pekao has been supporting the medical company since 2011 and is one of the main banks funding it.
Bank Pekao has now, in consortium with BNP Paribas Bank Polska, signed an agreement increasing the financing for Diagnostyka Group by PLN 120 million to a total of PLN 790 million for the next three years. Bank Pekao’s share in the financing is 50%. The funds are intended for the further development of the company and general corporate purposes.

Diagnostyka was established in Krakow in 1998. It specializes in the provision of professional services, from the collection and transportation of biological materials, to conducting tests and delivering results. It currently operates a network of more than 156 laboratories and around 1,100 collection points across the country. It carries out over 140 million tests annually for approximately 20 million patients.
In 2023, Diagnostyka Group closed with revenues close to PLN 1.6 billion. 47.8% of the company’s shares are held by an entity controlled by the private equity fund Mid Europa.
