B-Act, a consulting and engineering company listed on NewConnect, specializing in advice and supervision of construction projects, has established a strategic partnership with the Romanian group of companies Protoby & Euro Finance Advisors. This is another step in the development of B-Act’s structures in the foreign market, earlier a Polish company opened a branch in Romania. The company has been implementing contracts in that market since 2017. The aim of the partnership is, among others, to jointly engage in the development and acquisition of new contracts from the area of road and railway infrastructure, the defense sector, or projects and civil buildings.
“We are taking another step in the market in Romania, we are pleased to carry out this action together with an experienced partner. The Romanian group of companies Euro Finance Advisors & Protoby is one of the market leaders in Romanian and Eastern European. They’ve been implementing projects in the field of infrastructure consulting for over 30 years. Strategic partnership allows us fast growth, contract acquisition, or shortening the time to reach key entities in the local market.” says Adam Białachowski, the CEO of B-Act.
This is not the first move of B-Act in Romania. In October this year, the company opened a new branch there. The company has been present in the region since 2017. The goal of the Polish company is to further strengthen its position in acquiring new contracts, particularly in the military sector, as well as in key infrastructure implementations in the civil sector such as public utility buildings, roads, and railways.
“The strong transformation of Romania is supported by the dynamic development of the technology sector, investments in infrastructure, and strategic international partnerships. This country benefits from access to EU funds, which support infrastructure modernization and innovation in various industries. Thanks to the growing interest of foreign investors, Romania is developing dynamically and effectively. The demand for our services results from the strong pressure of this region on infrastructure works. On our eyes, Romania is making a leap, which we are happy about. For companies from this region, we want to be a strong partner,” adds Adam Białachowski.
Investment expenditures in Romania are steadily growing. According to the National Institute of Statistics in Romania, net investments in the national economy amounted to 189.34 billion lei in 2023, an increase of 16.6% compared to 2022.
Last year, Romania’s GDP grew by 2.2%, and according to forecasts for 2024 and 2025, GDP will increase by about 3.2-3.3%.
Romania is implementing key infrastructure projects. In 2022, this country invested over 1.5 billion euros in new infrastructure projects in regional cities, and in Bucharest, work is continuing on a new bypass as part of an investment worth 1 billion euros. Additionally, Romania received 17 billion euros from the European Union budget for transport infrastructure by 2027.
Moreover, recently, information has appeared about large investments, such as the construction of the largest powder factory in Europe near Brașov, worth 400 million euros, of which 47 million euros come from European Commission subsidies. Besides, Romania attracts investments in port infrastructure, with projects worth about 40 million euros funded by the EU.
“Romania is in a phase of strong development. The data show that every year this country invests significant amounts in improving the transport infrastructure. Nevertheless, many areas are still at the stage of underinvestment, which means that companies like ours can be a strong substantive and strategic partner for this region,” adds Adam Białachowski.
In the third quarter, B-Act generated revenues of 5.63 million PLN (an increase of 97.5% YoY). Cumulatively, for the first three quarters of the year, the company generated revenues of 13.67 million PLN. The net profit for the first nine months of this year was 350,000 PLN.
