From 2007 to 2014, she worked at PKO BP, where she initially led the creation and management of the Transaction Banking Division and later headed the Corporate Sales Division. During this period, she also served on the Supervisory Boards of companies in the PKO BP Group (PKO Faktoring SA, PKO Leasing SA, and eService Sp. z o.o.).

President Wasilewska-Semail also gained experience as a board member in the ENERIS group, overseeing energy projects. Previously, from 2014 to 2020, she held positions as CEO (2014-2018; 2020-2021) and vice-president (2018-2020) at Rafako.

– I am pleased that PKP CARGO will be led by an experienced manager with many years of experience in the international corporate environment. PKP CARGO needs not only someone with a mission but also someone with a new vision for rebuilding the commercial potential of the national freight carrier. The new president faces significant challenges, and as PKP S.A., we pledge to continue our support and strongly hope for PKP CARGO to regain its rightful place in the domestic and international markets – says Alan Beroud, President of PKP S.A.

The competition for the members of the management board of PKP CARGO was announced in May 2024. Due to new circumstances, including a restructuring request, the initial competition process was closed without a decision. A second competition was announced on November 6, and the decision was made on December 20, 2024. PKP S.A., as a shareholder in PKP CARGO S.A. in restructuring, has the right to exclusively nominate the candidate for president of the board based on its shareholding in the company.
