On April 21, 2026, the Supervisory Board of Millennium TFI appointed Zbigniew Jakubowski as President of the Management Board (CEO) of Millennium TFI. The current CEO, Robert Borecki, who has led the company for 25 years, will remain on the Management Board and support the new CEO in the company’s further development.
Zbigniew Jakubowski previously served as Vice President of the Management Board at Quercus TFI, where since 2024 he was responsible for the Investment Department. Between 2019 and 2023, he was a member of the Executive Committee of Generali Group’s Asset Management companies in the CEE region. From April 2022 to July 2023, he held the position of CEO/CIO at GI TFI. His earlier career includes long-standing roles at Korona TFI, where he served as Vice President from 2000 and later as CEO/CIO. Following its merger with Union Investment TFI, he continued as Vice President, overseeing asset management between 2001 and 2022, including after the company’s acquisition by Generali Investments.
Earlier in his career, Jakubowski worked in asset management and brokerage roles, including as CIO at BWE Asset Management and portfolio manager at DM BIG-BG (now Brokerage House of Bank Millennium). He began his career in the mid-1990s as a broker and analyst. He holds degrees in Data Processing and Accounting, as well as Production Economics from the University of Gdańsk. He is a licensed investment advisor, holds a CFA in ESG investing certification, and is a licensed securities broker.

Robert Borecki has led Millennium TFI since its inception, following the granting of its license by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) in 2001. The company began operations in 2002 with three open-ended funds investing in Polish equities and debt. Over time, the offering was expanded to include a wide range of diversified strategies, including active investments in international markets.
After 25 years of steadily building client trust and expanding its product offering, Millennium TFI now manages assets exceeding PLN 11 billion, entrusted by more than 200,000 clients across 26 sub-funds with diverse investment strategies, including recently introduced index funds.
Robert Borecki served as CEO of Millennium TFI since August 2001. Between 1997 and April 2002, he was a Management Board member at DM BIG-BG, where he was responsible for institutional brokerage services and asset management. From 1995 to 2000, he served as Vice President of BIG Finance, specialising in corporate finance services. Since 1995, he has been associated with the BIG Bank Gdański Group (now Bank Millennium Group), and since 1990 he has worked in advisory and financial institutions, leading numerous restructuring, privatisation, M&A, and capital-raising projects.
