Żabka Group Opens Its 20th and Largest Froo Store in Romania

COMPANIESŻabka Group Opens Its 20th and Largest Froo Store in Romania

**Froo Romania Retail S.R.L,** a company owned by Żabka Group, opened a unique Froo store in Bucharest this August, offering a wide selection of snacks and beverages, as well as a special dining area. This is the 20th and the largest store under the Froo brand in Romania, with 19 stores operating in Bucharest and one in Pitești. All of the network’s locations operate under business partnerships with local entrepreneurs.

The newly opened Froo store is located at 7 Bulevardul Iuliu Maniu, near the Bucharest Polytechnic University (Universitatea Națională de Știință și Tehnologie POLITEHNICA București) and the Politehnica metro station. The store offers quick shopping for those on the go, such as on the way home, and also provides a comfortable space to sit down and enjoy a warm snack. Additionally, customers can purchase chilled beverages straight from the fridge, cups of ice for cooling drinks, and freshly ground, aromatic coffee. There are also tables available on the outdoor terrace.

The store features a spacious sales area exceeding 120 square meters. The product range has been expanded by approximately 20% compared to the assortment available at previous Froo locations. The store offers a wide variety of products, including chilled beverages. Customers can also use two coffee machines, and hot, crispy snacks such as paninis, crispy boxes, or baked sandwiches are served straight from the oven. The store is open daily during standard hours, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

During the grand opening of the store, customers could take advantage of several promotional activities, organized as a summer street-food picnic “on the go,” featuring product tastings of private labels and an afternoon “frooletka,” where customers could win hot snacks from the Froo Bistro menu.

“We are committed to supporting local entrepreneurs, which is why Froo stores operate under a business partnership model. For many people, this could be a good idea for running their own business. We provide our partners with the location and inventory, as well as substantive support. Each location is analyzed for its attractiveness to customers, as well as logistics and development potential. Since May of this year, we have already opened 20 Froo stores—19 in Bucharest and one in Pitești. We are expanding the network and planning more openings in various locations,” said Radu Trandafir, General Manager, Froo Romania Retail S.R.L.

Froo stores are modern convenience stores, similar to Żabka stores in Poland. Over 80% of the assortment consists of well-known and popular Romanian and international brands supplied by Romanian vendors. The offer also includes products from well-known Polish brands and local private labels—such as Tommy Bites sandwiches, Good Soul lunch products, and Foodini liquid snacks. The Froo Bistro brand offers a rich selection of warm snacks, such as hot dogs or fries, and coffee in all locations. The offer is designed with customers in mind who want to quickly satisfy their hunger and thirst on the way home, to work, or school.
