XTB launches Social service. This is the previously announced community solution that will allow for tracking of the top investors, reviewing their key statistics, portfolio composition and receiving notifications about their latest transactions.

The launch of Social service is another stage in implementing the product plan for 2024. In recent weeks, customers have gained the ability to exchange currencies between their investment accounts. Today, XTB enriches its investment application with community solutions, thanks to which clients can track the best investors, check their own investment statistics and share inspiring profiles with their friends.

Poland is the first market where XTB has launched the Social service. Eventually, in the coming months, it will also appear on other XTB markets. “Community features based on user engagement are becoming extremely popular. Social is meant to fill a gap that we see in the financial market,” says Omar Arnaout, CEO of XTB.

Social is an additional feature that enables tracking not only of the best investors, but also friends investing with XTB – their portfolio composition, transaction history or investment statistics. The leader ranking is based on an algorithm that takes into account portfolio profitability against risk and other criteria such as diversification, concentration, risk level. Social also enables receiving notifications about the transactions of the observed user.

“Social is a service that will help our customers develop their own investment strategies. Observing profitable transactions, as well as those generating losses, can be an important lesson. The key is that control over one’s own investments always remains in the hands of the investor,” adds Arnaout.

In the latest version of the XTB application, investors will be able to observe profiles that have been set as public. To use this novelty, sharing one’s profile is not required. The decision to share a profile remains flexible – users can decide to activate or deactivate it at any time. However, the data of profiles shared within the Social service are fully anonymized, and at no stage are the portfolio values or transaction sizes visible. Only data regarding the percentage share of assets in a given portfolio are transferred.
