ECONOMYWage Growth Slows in March: Annual Increase at 7.7%, Supporting Case for Rate Cuts

The average gross wage in Poland’s enterprise sector rose by 7.7% year-on-year in March 2025, in line with market expectations. According to official data, the average gross salary reached PLN 9,055.92 in March.

The pace of wage growth continues to slow following a record-breaking 2024, which saw the fastest wage increases in Poland in two decades.

This consistent decline in wage pressure adds further support for monetary policy easing, increasing the likelihood of interest rate cuts as early as May.

“The cooling wage growth trend reinforces the case for rate cuts,”
said Jan Karczewski, Director of Strategic Clients at Michael / Ström Brokerage House.
