Wage Growth in Poland Slows Sharply in October 2025

ECONOMYWage Growth in Poland Slows Sharply in October 2025

In October 2025, the average salary in the enterprise sector increased by 6.60%, a result significantly below market expectations of 7.30%. The average gross wage in companies employing at least 10 people, excluding public sector units (administration, education, healthcare, social assistance), amounted to PLN 8,865.12.

Since the beginning of 2024, a systematic slowdown in wage growth has been observed. The accelerated rise in average earnings has been viewed as one of the key factors behind the persistently elevated pace of price growth in services — which reached 5.60% year-on-year in October.

Some members of the Monetary Policy Council (MPC) emphasise that an annual wage growth rate of around 6% should significantly reduce pro-inflationary pressure, which in the longer term will support price stability in the economy.
