Velvet CARE has announced that after nearly 13 years at the helm, Artur Pielak will take on the role of Member of the Supervisory Board. The decision reflects recognition of his achievements—during his tenure, the company increased its revenues almost tenfold. Strengthening the strategic governance function marks a natural next step in further building Velvet CARE’s position as a leader in the paper hygiene products market. The new CEO will be Paweł Bajorek, who has held key leadership roles at Mars and Reckitt. His appointment is expected to support international expansion and the development of competitive advantage based on sustainable growth.
From the very beginning of Velvet CARE, Artur Pielak successfully managed the company, strengthening its market position, expanding its product portfolio, and building long-term, trust-based relationships with business partners. Since 2013, Velvet CARE has evolved from a mid-sized Polish company into a market leader in Central Europe. The Supervisory Board emphasizes his significant contribution to the company’s dynamic growth and welcomes him in his new role, expecting continued engagement and strategic support.
Artur Pielak commented:
“I am proud to have been part of the exceptional Velvet CARE team for more than a decade. We achieved extraordinary things—how else can one describe growing the business from revenues of just over PLN 200 million to nearly PLN 2 billion and reaching champion status in Central Europe? Behind this success stands an outstanding Velvet CARE team, whom I sincerely thank for their cooperation, commitment, and passion that allowed us, time and again, to ‘move mountains.’
Velvet CARE is entering a phase of new challenges and new opportunities. I am handing over the reins to a new CEO and firmly believe that he will lead the company to further spectacular successes. As a member of the Supervisory Board, I will continue to work closely with the Management Board. Velvet CARE stands for continuous development—and that will remain unchanged.”
At the same time, the Supervisory Board has appointed Paweł Bajorek as President of the Management Board of Velvet CARE. His international professional experience and development vision are expected to ensure strategic continuity and enable the company to effectively pursue its key priorities: growth in Central European markets in line with ESG principles, strengthening innovation, and building strategic partnerships.
Paweł Bajorek will formally assume the CEO position on 1 February 2026, although he is joining Velvet CARE already today. The coming month will be dedicated to the handover of responsibilities and gaining first-hand knowledge of all entities within the Velvet CARE Group, ensuring management continuity and a smooth onboarding process.
Paweł Bajorek said:
“I am very pleased to be joining the fantastic Velvet CARE team. Looking at the company’s impressive achievements in recent years, I see this moment not only as an honor, but above all as a responsibility. Ambitious goals and an exciting phase of development lie ahead. We plan to significantly increase production capacity, streamline key processes, enter new markets, and begin cooperation with additional business partners—all to reach an even broader group of consumers who will love our products.
We are a champion in Central Europe, but this is only a stop on the road to becoming a true European leader.
I would like to thank Artur for his monumental work in building Velvet CARE’s success, and Partners Group for their trust and for entrusting me with the role of CEO. I am confident that my many years of experience in the FMCG sector, combined with the energy, talent, and ambition of the entire Velvet CARE team, will allow us to deliver on our ambitious plans. From the very first moment, I have felt that the only limit to what we can achieve together is our imagination.”
The statement was also signed by Thierry Bolloré, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Velvet CARE, who said:
“Artur Pielak has achieved something remarkable—he built a leader in the paper hygiene products market in Central Europe. We now want to leverage his experience at the strategic level. At the same time, we welcome Paweł Bajorek as CEO, who will drive Velvet CARE’s international expansion. Exciting years of rapid growth lie ahead.”
