The German savings and investment platform Trade Republic has officially entered the Polish market. Poland is the first country outside the eurozone where the company is expanding its operations.
The new offering includes a savings account with a Polish IBAN, offering an annual interest rate of 4.25%, in line with the current deposit rate of the National Bank of Poland. Interest is calculated daily and paid out monthly. There is no cap on the balance eligible for interest.
Trade Republic also enables Polish clients to invest directly in PLN. The platform provides access to over 10,000 stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies. Stock market orders are priced at PLN 4 per transaction, while free Savings Plans are available for users who want to invest regularly.
Additionally, the company has introduced a Visa card with no foreign exchange fees for international payments. Each card transaction is rewarded with 1% cashback (Saveback), which is automatically transferred to the user’s Savings Plan.
Trade Republic currently operates in 17 European countries, serving over 8 million clients. The total value of assets entrusted to the platform exceeds EUR 100 billion. Entry into the Polish market marks a key step in the company’s international expansion strategy.
According to company representatives, Poland combines rapid economic growth with relatively low levels of private savings compared to its potential. The new offering is designed to meet the needs of households seeking simple and accessible savings and investment tools.
Trade Republic holds a full banking license and is supervised by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). In Poland, the company operates through a branch regulated by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Client funds are protected under the German deposit guarantee scheme.
