Poland’s inflation rises to 3.4% as fuel prices jump 24.2%
Consumer inflation in Poland increased to 3.4% year on year in August 2026, according to a flash estimate from Statistics Poland. The reading was higher than the market consensus of around 3.1%. Prices rose by 0.4% month on month. Fuel stood out as the strongest contributor, with prices 24.2% higher than a year earlier and 5.2% above July levels. Inflation is now only 0.1 percentage point below the upper limit of the National Bank of Poland’s target range.
