Simon J. Britsch has been appointed President of Bayer in Poland, a role he will hold alongside his current position as Chief Financial Officer for the Eastern Europe region. His international experience and deep knowledge of Bayer enable him to effectively support the company’s continued growth and transformation in Eastern Europe.

With 25 years of experience at Bayer, Britsch brings extensive expertise to his new role. He began his career with the company in 2000 as a participant in the internship program in Germany, where his potential was quickly recognized. In 2009, he became CFO of Bayer Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Three years later, he was responsible for managing and developing the commercial activities of the Healthcare division in Beijing.

After seven years in Asia, he returned to Germany in 2016, where he oversaw the company’s strategic initiatives, including the creation of a global Enterprise Risk Management system.

In 2021, he took on another international assignment in Mumbai as CFO for South Asia, where he supervised the financial operations of Bayer’s publicly listed entity in India.

Since July 2025, Simon J. Britsch has been based in Poland, working from Bayer’s Warsaw office, where he is responsible for shaping the company’s financial strategy across Eastern Europe.

“True innovation is born where curiosity meets courage – where science is not just a discipline but a genuine passion, and leadership is not based on hierarchy but on a shared goal and vision. In today’s interconnected world, every opinion matters, every idea counts, and the future is shaped together. That is why I am proud to be part of TeamBayer, jointly pursuing the mission of Health for All, Hunger for None,” said Simon J. Britsch.

Britsch holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Essen and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid. He also enhanced his leadership skills through executive programs at Harvard Business School, where he is an alumnus.
