Sfinks Polska recorded restaurant sales of PLN 100.27 million in the first half of 2026. The figure included revenue generated by 71 restaurants operating within chains managed by Sfinks during the period, compared with total revenue of PLN 102.61 million generated by 78 locations a year earlier.

Like-for-like restaurants operating both at the end of June 2026 and at the corresponding date in the previous year increased their revenue from PLN 94.3 million to PLN 95.19 million year on year.

“Our results were affected by weaker consumer sentiment. Economic uncertainty related to conflicts around the world also reduced consumers’ willingness to spend on dining out in Poland and limited our growth opportunities. Nevertheless, despite the additional negative impact of weather conditions, we achieved a slight increase in sales at our like-for-like restaurants, which is a good result compared with the market as a whole,” said Sylwester Cacek, CEO of Sfinks Polska.

“Our overall results were also directly affected by the reduction in the number of restaurants available to customers. Although we regularly open new locations, the size of the available network has decreased by almost 10% over the past year, either because lease agreements were not renewed or because restaurants were undergoing refurbishment. As many as four restaurants became unavailable during the second quarter of this year. Such a significant difference in network size inevitably had to be reflected in sales results,” he added.

“Regardless of these factors, we are continuing our planned initiatives to expand the network and make our offering more attractive to customers. I expect several more restaurants to open this year, while the number of members participating in the Aperitif loyalty programme should exceed one million,” Cacek said.

In the second quarter of 2026, restaurants operating within the chains managed by Sfinks, excluding the Piwiarnia chain, which is not covered by the reporting, generated restaurant sales of PLN 49 million across 71 locations. This compared with PLN 52.3 million generated by 78 restaurants a year earlier.

Like-for-like restaurants operating at the end of both reporting periods generated sales at a broadly similar level, amounting to PLN 46.45 million in the second quarter of 2026 and PLN 46.72 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Reported restaurant sales comprise net sales revenue generated by both franchised and company-owned locations within the Sfinks Polska network. Restaurant sales do not include revenue generated by the Piwiarnia chain.

The company also notes that reported restaurant sales should not be equated with the sales revenue recognised directly by Sfinks Polska. The company’s revenue consists of restaurant sales generated by company-owned restaurants and franchise fees calculated on the restaurant sales generated by franchised locations.

In the latter case, restaurant sales constitute revenue earned by the franchisees rather than by Sfinks Polska itself.

Restaurant revenue refers to revenue generated by all locations operating under brands owned by the Sfinks Polska Group, excluding the Piwiarnia chain.
