The consulting firm Savills expanded its Operational Capital Markets (OCM) services to Poland as of March 1st. The firm will provide advisory services for investors, developers, and managers in all real estate sectors requiring significant operational involvement.
The OCM department of Savills advises clients in sectors such as rental housing, single-family homes, co-living, student housing, senior housing, healthcare, hotels, and self-service warehouses in the UK and markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The OCM department has a strong position in international markets, advising on transactions worth over 20 billion pounds in the last three years.
The new department in Poland will be led by Jacek Kałużny, who is promoted to the position of director and Head of Operational Capital Markets in Poland. Jacek is an expert with 15 years of professional experience in real estate transaction consulting, investment management, merger and acquisition transactions, and corporate finance. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the preparation and implementation of dozens of investment projects in the institutional rental (PRS) sector and affordable housing.
“Private student homes (PRSA), institutional rentals (PRS), and eventually also senior construction are rising sectors on the Polish real estate market with huge growth potential. Savills globally has a very strong network of specialists and rich experience in servicing these asset classes. Also in Poland, we successfully advised our clients on their first transactions in these sectors,” said Jacek Kałużny, Head of Operational Capital Markets, Savills in Poland.
The development of Savills OCM in Poland will be based on the successes of the already operating team, which has advised on purchase and sale transactions of projects worth over 230 million EUR (over 1 billion PLN) on the Polish market in recent years.
Savills OCM operates in the UK and EMEA, providing clients with a combination of real estate advisory and investment banking services, in collaboration with experts in the field of capital consulting (corporate finance, joint venture structuring, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, debt financing consulting).
“I congratulate Jacek on his new role and look forward to our cooperation in further development of the Operational Capital Markets platform in Poland. His rich experience will support the growth of OCM as housing sectors in Poland continue to gain importance. In addition to our sector specialization and wide range of services, we use the Savills network of over 700 international offices to provide our clients with local market knowledge, leading sector intelligence, and global investor reach,” said Peter Allen, Head of Operational Capital Markets, UK & EMEA.
