SatRev S.A., a Wrocław-based space technology company preparing for its debut on the NewConnect market, has signed an agreement with RIDE! to launch another research satellite into low Earth orbit (LEO). The launch of the approximately 10-kilogram satellite is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
The satellite will be built on the Raccoon platform, which has already been successfully validated in space. It will integrate three commercial payloads, and the mission will serve as a technology demonstration in orbital conditions. This project marks another joint initiative between the two companies and continues SatRev’s expansion in the international satellite manufacturing and launch services market.
Commercial Mission Focused on Technology Demonstration
The upcoming mission is fully commercial in nature. The satellite will be used to conduct orbital technology tests, confirming the performance of client systems in the space environment.
The Raccoon satellite platform, on which the spacecraft will be built, has already undergone full orbital validation during the ongoing mission of the SN-10 BlueBON satellite, which has been operating in space for more than a year.
Due to the nature of the projects being carried out, detailed information about the payloads and their owners has not been disclosed at this stage.
Continued Cooperation with RIDE!
The agreement with RIDE! builds on the companies’ existing partnership. Last year, the two firms jointly carried out several satellite launches, including the nanosatellite SN-10 BlueBON.
The success of these earlier projects recently led to the signing of a letter of intent, under which both companies plan to conduct additional satellite missions in the coming years.
“I am convinced that both SatRev and RIDE! will achieve many successes in deploying Earth observation and telecommunications satellites, and in the future also constellations in low Earth orbit. Having such a partner allows SatRev to plan the company’s future with greater confidence,” said Dr. Daniel Więzik, CEO of SatRev S.A.
BlueBON Mission Provides Key Operational Experience
The BlueBON satellite, launched in January 2025, remains fully operational and has been performing observation tasks for more than a year.
So far, the satellite has imaged over 600,000 square kilometers of the Earth’s surface, collecting approximately 300 GB of imaging data during more than 1,000 data acquisition sessions from orbit.
This mission has become a key technological and operational reference for SatRev’s further development.
In the current geopolitical environment, where some commercial entities have limited the publication of satellite imagery for sensitive regions, the ability to maintain independent and sovereign Earth observation capabilities is becoming increasingly important. Such capabilities are valuable not only for the company itself but also for its current and future clients.
Expansion into International Markets
SatRev continues to expand its activities on international markets. Earlier this year, the company signed an agreement with the Omani firm ETCO SPACE for a contract involving satellite monitoring of gas infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman.
As part of this cooperation, SatRev is now entering the stage of providing specialized training for its Omani partner. These training programs will play a key role in future operational activities within the project and are intended to build long-term technical capabilities on the partner’s side.
The new satellite mission and expanding international partnerships illustrate SatRev’s strategy of strengthening its position in the rapidly growing global space technology market, particularly in the areas of small satellites, Earth observation systems, and commercial space services.
