SatRev S.A. (soon to be Sky Vision) has announced the successful establishment of the first connection with the PW6U satellite. At 22:30, on the very first attempt, roughly 100 minutes after the satellite was deployed into space, the mission control team in Wrocław received telemetry directly from orbit. The data confirms that the unit is fully operational and that the initial post-launch procedures were executed correctly. This marks one of the key moments of every orbital mission and provides yet another proof of SatRev’s technological maturity as a company that independently designs, builds, and operates its satellites.
PW6U, a nanosatellite built by SatRev, was launched as part of the SpaceX Transporter-15 mission. It will be used to acquire medium-resolution multispectral Earth-observation data supporting commercial, environmental, and administrative objectives, as well as security-related applications such as infrastructure monitoring. The first telemetry reception confirmed that the satellite is on its target orbit and that both the power and communication systems are functioning properly.
– This satellite mission will enable fully operational Earth observation and support for entities across various industries, as well as further testing of technologies in space. The main goal of the PW6U mission is to gather medium-resolution multispectral images and data for clients in sectors such as agriculture and energy – said Dr. Daniel Więzik, President of the Management Board of SatRev S.A.
This is yet another commercial satellite developed by the company. PW6U expands SatRev’s technological capabilities, strengthening its position in the satellite applications market and in multispectral data analysis. The company will release further information on the ongoing mission in the near future.
