Salesforce and Anthropic are expanding their partnership to integrate Claude more deeply with enterprise workflows. The cooperation, branded Claudeforce, will connect Anthropic’s AI models with CRM data, Agentforce and Slack, giving sales teams a new set of tools for analysing deals, preparing meetings and updating pipelines.

The companies say Salesforce in Claude will enter open beta in September 2026. The integration is designed to let employees work with Salesforce information directly from Claude while maintaining enterprise controls around data and permissions.

AI moves closer to core business processes

The partnership illustrates a broader shift in enterprise AI. Companies are moving beyond standalone chatbots and experimenting with assistants that can access business systems, understand organisational context and carry out parts of multi-step workflows.

Sales users are expected to receive 37 pre-built capabilities covering tasks such as opportunity analysis, account preparation and pipeline management. Integration with Slack is intended to bring the same functionality into everyday collaboration.

Competition intensifies in enterprise AI

Salesforce has been developing Agentforce as a platform for AI agents, while Anthropic has increasingly targeted corporate customers with Claude. Combining CRM data with advanced language models could make AI assistants more useful for operational work, but it also raises the importance of governance, access controls and reliable data.

The deeper partnership shows how quickly enterprise software vendors are embedding generative AI directly into their products rather than offering it as a separate layer.
