COMPANIESRevolut surpasses the threshold of 50 million customers worldwide
  • Revolut has exceeded 50 million customers worldwide, with the next goal being the 100 million mark
  • Revolut exceeded 4 million customers in Poland, aiming to reach 5 million next year
  • During The Revolutionaries event this week in London, Revolut will summarize its journey from one customer to 50 million customers in less than 10 years

The company achieved a milestone of 50 million customers with significant growth dynamics. In 2024, Revolut added over 10 million new customers and became the most downloaded financial application in Europe. This has been an exceptional year. In 2024 Revolut was valued at $45 billion, received a banking license with restrictions in the UK from the British regulator PRA, and announced that the Group’s revenue in 2023 exceeded $2.2 billion, with a record pre-tax profit of $545 million.

Revolut’s plans are no less ambitious. The company intends to continue growing its customer base towards the next milestone of 100 million customers. At the same time, it plans to implement further innovations, products, and services to become the bank of first choice for its customers.

“Revolut exists to simplify the world of finance, for everyone and everywhere. This year we have significantly accelerated the rate at which we create and give customers new products. As a result, we are bringing useful innovations to the market and making it better. The list of financial services that are still waiting to be improved is long – we see this as a significant market opportunity for us and our customers ” – said Nik Storonsky, co-founder and CEO of Revolut.

2024 was a breakthrough year also in Poland. Revolut crossed the threshold of 4 million customers in Poland and maintained a growth rate of 1 million new customers per year. Next year it aims to reach 5 million customers in Poland. The hit in 2024 was the addition of telecommunications services, data transfer, and digital eSIM cards in the Revolut app. During the summer trips, Poles purchased 50 thousand data transfer packages. Although Revolut proves its worth during travels, Poles make most transactions in Poland (58% in Q3 2024). It is also the most downloaded financial app in Poland (since 2023), regardless of the season or month. How is this possible?

Revolut offers products that are rare or non-existent on the Polish market: a single-use virtual card (for safe online shopping), free Express Elixir (PLN), SEPA Instant transfers (EUR), Robo-Advisor services (semi-automatic investment portfolio management), convenient fractional stock trading, ETFs, gold, bonds (290 thousand Polish customers already invest with Revolut).

From Revolut’s joint accounts, for managing household budget and shared expenses, 28 thousand customers in Poland are already benefiting (+115% this year) Over 134 thousand Polish parents and children use accounts, apps, and cards for under-18s (+58% this year) for financial education.

What’s next? Revolut is opening new banks (having obtained banking licenses in the UK and Mexico) and establishing branches of Revolut Bank UAB in EU countries (already operating in Ireland, France, Spain and the Netherlands). Revolut Bank UAB also plans to expand traditional banking products (loans, deposits) and services for businesses (Revolut Pay, Reader, Terminal) in the EU.

In Poland, Revolut is also building a regional credit hub. In Poland, both the sale (+87% YoY) and offer of loans are growing. In September, Revolut added consumer loans (up to PLN 150,000) and credit cards (up to PLN 50,000) to its consolidation loans (up to PLN 150,000). Thanks to a fully digital process, customers can easily transfer their loans from Polish banks to Revolut Bank UAB. The company plans further innovations in the area of credit services in Poland at the turn of the year.
